The Manchester Hosting centre provides a carrier class location in which to host your data. The building is home to over 15 different telecommunication providers and also hosts the MaNAP Internet Exchange. The Manchester Hosting centre is second only to Alentus UK’s London facilities in terms of connectivity capacity and quality of facilities. Network InfrastructureAlentus UK has significant advantages over other providers: • Alentus UK operates BGP (border gate protocol) on it's network. Where other providers are reliant solely on a single network, Alentus UK takes network feeds from a number of different internet providers and telecom providers. • SLA (Service Level Agreement). Alentus UK is able to provide an SLA of 99.975%, one of the highest in the UK today. In the unlikely event of Alentus UK maintaining service below 99.975%, Alentus UK will credit the client with 1 day of service for every hour of outage subject to a maximum of 25 days each calendar month. Alentus UK believe this SLA and related SLA credit scheme is unmatched by the competition. • Alentus UK maintains a minimum of 40% headroom on its core network at all times. Server BackupAlentus UK is able to provide a wide range of backup options which can be purchased in addition to your base service. Tape rotation services are included free of charge. Remote "Hands"Alentus UK provide free remote "hands" up to 15 minutes per day. This service can cover such items such as server restarts, tape rotation, or maintenance work.
